This is formal notification that the MPS1000 WAN/LAN Communications Server and CPC358 Synchronous Serial Controller are being declared End of Life (EoL) due to obsolete parts. The MPS1000 WAN/LAN Communications Server will be replaced by the Ventnor Communications Server. The CPC358 Synchronous Serial Controller will not be replaced.

Lifecycle Dates
Sunhillo is providing guidance with respect to the Last Order Date (LOD), Last Ship Date (LSD) and End of Support (EoS) for Affected Product.
- Last Order Date (LOD): Orders will be accepted through August 26, 2016. Given there are limited product quantities available, Sunhillo reserves the right to limit customer order quantities.
- Last Ship Date (LSD):Orders placed before the LOD may be shipped through March 31, 2017.
- End of Support (EoS): Sunhillo will provide three years support from the EoL (July 17, 2019) date after which time Sunhillo will no longer provide any support, nor issue RMAs, for Affected Product. In the event that 3rd party components used in the manufacture of Affected Product are declared EoL or test rigs become unavailable, prior to the EoS date stated in this notice, support will continue to be provided only as may be available to the best of Sunhillo’s ability during the remainder of the declared support period for Affected Product.

Replacement Product
The replacement for the MPS1000 WAN/LAN Communications Server is the Ventnor Communications Server. The Ventnor platform is designed with the latest technology, ensuring future support and improved performance, and is engineered to be 100% compatible with the existing MPS1000. It utilizes the same MPS Software, and the same Hydra cables, as the MPS1000. The API is unchanged and there should be no reason to change any application that works with a current MPS1000. Ventnor samples will be available in the 3rd quarter 2016 with production scheduled for the 4th quarter 2016.
