Solution for elimination of leased TDM lines
FAA systems depend on TDM-based services provided by telecom carriers (approx. 21,000 services – many using T1 Line connectivity). TDM services will phased out and migrated to IP over the next few years. The TDM services used in the NAS include voice, surveillance, weather, maintenance systems, and inter-facility / flight data a list that encompasses nearly the entire NAS.

Legacy Interface Test Equipment (LITE) Software Suite
As part of the TDM to IP initiative, there has been a move to transition serial communication circuits to IP circuits. Sunhillo’s Legacy Interface Test Equipment (LITE) has been specifically designed to provide a platform for testing FAA Legacy serial interfaces and providing an environment to help in the transition from TDM to IP. The LITE is a fully configurable simulation tool.
