Users wanting to consider alternative options should look at the RICI 5000. The RICI 5000 is a self-contained four port synchronous serial device that is connected over IP. The same MPSapi calls are used but the host application communicates over IP instead of the PCI bus. This also has the benefit of allowing one host application to communicate with multiple RICI 5000s in different locations.
